What are the dimensions of a standard cereal box?
A standard US cereal box is about 12 inches tall, 7.75 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Family-size boxes are around 13.5 × 8.5 × 2.5 inches. We make any size, so send the size of your inner bag and we fit the box to it.
What size is a mini cereal box?
Single-serve mini boxes are roughly 5 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep and hold about 1 ounce of cereal. They are popular for hotels, samples, party favours and variety packs.
What are cereal boxes made of?
Paperboard, usually SBS (solid bleached sulfate) or clay-coated kraft board, between 16 and 24 pt thick. The cereal sits in a separate inner bag, so the board itself does not touch the food.
Is the packaging food safe?
We use food-grade paperboard and inks. Cereal is normally packed in a sealed inner bag, which you supply or fill yourself; the printed box is the outer package.
What has to be printed on a cereal box?
For retail sale in the US, food labels carry the product name, net weight, Nutrition Facts panel, ingredient list, allergen statement and the name and address of the business. You supply this text and we place it on the side and back panels.
Can I get a personalised cereal box as a gift?
Yes. Single boxes with a name, photo or message are common for birthdays, weddings, team gifts and promotions.
How do cereal boxes close?
With a tuck top that recloses after opening. Glued tops with a perforated tear strip, and windows on the front panel, are also available.
What printing and finishes are available?
Full colour CMYK with Pantone spot colours, gloss or matte lamination, aqueous coating, spot UV and foil for premium lines.
